If someone invites you to a birthday dinner at a resturant, Who's supposed to pay?

Actually* if anyone does not pay, then it is the Birthday Boy/Girl themselves. That is where all the guests split the bill of the bday person. But honestly, I think it is normal and respectful for everyone to just pay for themselves.
