Half Double Crochet Problem?

At the end of a row, you chain 2 to start the next row. You then turn. After you turn, the ch2 counts as the first stitch in the row. Work your hdc in the second stitch. You now have two stitches on that row, the ch2 (counting as the first stitch) and the hdc. Continue to work the hdc in each stitch across, including the ch2 from the previous row at the end. Count the stitches--you should have the same number on this row that you did on the previous row.
